Birthday Cards and Cute Boys

Here are a few cards I made last week.
All were made using scraps from an old pack of KI Memories.

I like this next one best.
I guess 'cause I stamped and pieced together the little cupcake.
It gave it a little definition and character.

~~~~~~~~
And I just had to share this oh-so-sweet photo of my boys getting along.
(That doesn't happen too often here of late. lol)
Thanks for looking!
Happy Leap Day!
Valentines...and birthday cards...
Yes, Valentine's Day was a couple of days ago, but you know me...
I'm usually a little slow about getting things on here real quick.
Anywho....
So I started the day with fixing up the boys' Valentine's from Mom & Dad.
They each received a M&M t-shirt (Josh red, Ben blue)
and a small heart-shaped box of chocolates, as well as a card.
(That's my card from Steve in the background.)
Then Steve took me out for lunch.
(One nice thing about him being on a 3rd shift is that we have a
built-in babysitter--public school.)
We both wanted to go to Carrabba's.
But they're not open for lunch during the week.
Then there was the idea of Outback. Same thing.
So we decided to try something new, but close to home.
We had yet to try LoneStar Steakhouse since it opened.
The best part, for me anyway, was the Texas Rose.
So very much like the Bloomin' Onion from Outback.
YUM!
Throughout the morning, while getting ready for our date,
I found little gifts hidden, where I would eventually, if not certainly, find them.
(All I asked for for Valentine's Day was a big box of truffles. I got two.)
(And of course I like anything Mouse-like.)
Then my little sweeties came home from school....
and gave me lots of kisses....
These are the Valentine's boxes the boys and I made for school.
The one on the left is a DeathStar and the other is Godzilla.
(That's what they wanted!)
My cards and truffles from the boys....
I made a red velvet cake for our dessert....
Now for some cards.
First I want to share one of the cards I got for Steve.
I think it's so cute, and funny, and...kinda true....
(No more bikinis and speedos for us!!)
And this is the card I made for him....
These are the 'generic' birthday cards I made.
Two pink, and two blue...
I've made one like this before, only in a 'shorter' version.
Maybe one of you will receive it in the future...
hhmmmm.
There was another card that I made, but I mailed it before I remembered
to take a picture. Duh! Blonde moment.
Or perhaps it was a 'grey' moment.
Idunno.
Hope you're having a great week.
Thanks for looking!
Happy Birthday!
Just a quick post this morning to send
birthday wishes to my brother, Jeremy.
And also, to my friend, Claudette.
Hope you both have a wonderful, blessed day!
Silly, Girl....and scrappiness....
First, I want to share some photos I took earlier this week of our sweet Josie.
She is so silly. A sweet, good-girl. But silly.
We often look at her and laugh, joking that it's a good thing
that we didn't name her 'Lady.'
She sits like this....often....
It is so hilarious. We joke, 'Lady Not.'
(Meaning like nobility.)
It doesn't matter where she is, she'll just sit like this.
And when she's in her bed, she sits up on the side,
like the pillow-y side is softer.
I guess it would be....
~~~~~~~~~~
Anyway.
Here are some of the newest LOs from the last two weeks.
I completed three of them last week.
This first one I completed this week....
I made it using primarily scraps from the other three pages.

All of them are made with Echo Park's 'Playground' line.

This next one is my favorite of them all.
It started out in a completely different design.
I 'piddled' around with it for the better part of a day,
never really happy with the way it was going.
Then, after supper, I 'piddled' with some different papers, and,
voila'!
And yes, I used pink paper on a boy page!
And it worked!
(BTW, it's supposed to look like a layered cake. It does to me, anyway.)
~~~~~~~~~
Well, that's it for now.
I've been a little preoccupied these last few days with trying to make some
birthday cards for upcoming birthdays.
And looking ahead, hoping to get some generic ones made
so all I have to do is add a sentiment, and personalize it a little.
I'll get some pics of those as I complete them.
We shall see how that goes....
Thanks as always for taking a 'gander.'
Have a great weekend.
WAHOO!!
Just watched an awesome Super Bowl.
I'm not a nail bitter.
But I was biting my lip during the entire second half.
What a terrific game.
If I can't have my Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl,
(and win it)
I'll take the New York Giants,
my #2 team.
Way to go Giants!
:D
Oh, boy! Oh boy!
I wish I could've been at the CHA show to have seen all the lovely
new things that will be coming soon to the scrapbooking world.
Especially all the new things from Echo Park Paper Co.
OH. MY. GOODNESS.
They have soooooo many wonderful things in store,
hitting the shelves over the next few months.
It is very hard to choose.
(Do I hafta?!)
Okay.
So, if I have to choose, I choose the Note to Self collection, and
the This & That Charming collection.
I don't know which is cuter, the stamps....
or the tickets....
Both of these kits have an antique feel. Retro. Nostalgic feel.
How ever you'd like to phrase it.
It brings back memories.
This & That also comes in a 'Graceful' collection, that's geared, of course for girls.
It is a very pretty collection. But seeing as I have two boys....
'Charming' is for me.
I love these 'signs.' Not to mention the colors.
And these old, vintage cameras.....ooooohh.
EP has also introduced "Mini Themes" kits, much like their larger, more involved
counterparts, but in a more compact, affordable size.
"I'll have one of each, please!"
(hehehehe)
This one makes me daydream of going back to the beach....
This one makes me want to go camping, of course.
(Wonder where we'll go for vacation this year? Hhhmmm...)
My other favorite company, Bella Blvd. also has some wonderful new releases coming up.
There's Baby Boy, Baby Girl, and We're Expecting, as well as
some new embellishments, like buttons and designer tapes.
But the only one that appeals to me during this release is
Sunshine & Happiness.
It's so bright and colorful and cheery.
It just makes me happy just to look at it!
:)
Anyway. I was just sitting here looking at all these wonderful new things.
So excited. Can't wait to actually see some of them.
Wanted to share.
Thanks for 'listening.'
And for looking.
:)
