Christmas in April...

So, okay, I said last week that I had some new scrapbook pages to post.

Y'all knew that it might be a little while before I got 'round to it.

But here they are now...

This first one is of Josh and his love of animals (and being photographed).

The pictures were taken on Christmas eve 2010.

But I didn't want the LO to look too Christmas-y.

I did use Bella Blvd.'s Christmas Wishes line to create it.

As a matter of fact, they're all made with it!

Love it...love it... love it!

Well, there you have it....my latest creations.

I did, however, finish one this evening, but I'll wait until I have a couple or three to post.

Make it worth my time, as well as yours.

I Want to Ride My Bicycle....

The boys and I went to the park one day during spring break to ride our bikes.  At first, Ben had training wheels on his bike, but after riding for a few minutes, he had leaned on them so much that they were bent, and not holding him up so good anymore.  So Mom said they needed to come off, and he would have to learn to ride without them.  It was time anyway.  Needless to say, he wasn't very happy about them being off, at first.  I tried running along with him a couple of times, but that wasn't working too well.  (Not to mention that the chain kept popping off  'cause I didn't get the rear axle quite straight enough after removing the training wheels, but we figured it out....)  So I pushed him toward the grass, and let go.

He kept going.

Nana, who had shown up just shortly before I had let him go on his own, saw him, and was cheering him on, too.  Papa came later to witness all the fun, and to help repair the chain once more after it had popped off after a collision with Josh's parked bike.  (Oops!)  After about 3 hours at the park, he was riding all on his own.

So, to help keep it fresh, we went again the next day, along with Daddy,

and this time I remembered to take the camera!

Ready, set, GO!

 First, a lap around the ball parks on the paved pathway....

then we took it "off road."

All my boys stopped to look at the new landscaping along the path....

The end of the line, and time for a break.

We even enjoyed a picnic lunch in the warm sunshine.

We shared a couple of corn chips with a cute little critter.

(Don't tell the squirrels around my house that I let one their cousins get this close,

and even fed him!!)

After lunch, we were back on the road again...

I don't know if you can see it in this photo, but Ben is smiling soooo big.

Smooches from a proud Momma....

We've not been back to the park since spring break,

but the boys have been riding around the yard at home.

And Ben is still riding on two wheels,

and enjoying his new ability.

Does anyone have a tissue?

Okay, so I was going to post some new LOs today,

but I went grocery shopping earlier today,

and now I'm feeling a little lazy.

So, I've been blog browsing, and lo and behold,

what do I come across....

Echo Park Paper Co. (one of my most favorite companies)

has just announced four new collections,

two full collections, and two minis.

And oh-my-gosh, do I have the wants!!!

I love love love the bright, fun colors of Paradise Beach.

It's so summery.

I love summer.

The other collection I'm drooling over is Sweet Day.

The muted colors are so creamy and dreamy.

I was trying to stash money back for another Disney trip,

but I may have to dip into that here soon.

Hhhhmmmmm.....

Easter Celebration

Okay, as you all know, I usually run a little late getting things posted here.

But I have a fairly good excuse...

with the boys on spring break, they spent more time on the computer than me!

So I am playing catch-up this week.

And trying to get back to some sort of normality.

So without further ado,

here are some pics from our Easter fun....

I usually buy the simple egg dyeing kit from the store to color our eggs.

But I saw somewhere online last week

(after we'd already dyed our eggs)

a method using kool-aid.

So I guess that's what we'll try next year.

The boys love dyeing eggs, but not necessarily eating them....

One dozen eggs is never enough fun, but we end up eating egg salad for days!

Easter morning. Such handsome boys.

(I know, I'm biased.)

Now, the fun begins!

It may be a little hard to see, but there's an egg hidden in plain view on one of the window sills. Both boys must have walked past it a couple of times each!

With a little 'coaching,' Ben finally found it.

Daddy even hid the eggs in the garden...

But they were still found pretty easily.

All the eggs had been found, except for the golden egg.

It's special....it has two dollars in it.

The finder had to share, though.

Ben was triumphant in finding the golden egg.

But as usual, Josh found the most eggs.

Spring break may be over now, but it sure was fun.

Besides our Easter fun, there was time spent playing with Daddy,

playing games online and on the Wii,

a couple of days spent riding bicycles at the park

(pictures yet to come),

and we even got to sleep in an hour or two each morning.

(My favorite thing about spring break!)

I did manage to do a little scrapping, and

I hope to get some pics on here soon.
