Egg Hunt Fun
This was a fun and funny Easter. I laughed so hard, and the boys had a great time hunting for treat-filled eggs. They had been practicing for a couple of days, but now the game was on.
Josh is so competitive, he wanted to find the most eggs. Ben, on the other hand, was more concerned with finding the golden egg with the special treat inside.

Ben found both of the toys that were also hidden: a golf set and a bowling set. But he must not have known what to do with them, I was yelling at him to get them. I was laughing so hard.
Then Josh figured out what was going on, and out raced him to get the other one.
After toting them around for awhile, Josh talked Ben into trading.
Then the hunt was on again!
Josh was in such a hurry, he grabbed one egg as he ran by.....
but missed one just above his head, which Ben happily snatched up.

But the golden egg still remained elusive. Where was it?

Hidden deep in the grass, but in plain sight. I couldn't believe how many times they walked right past it, sometimes nearly stepping on it!

I finally stopped to take a picture of the elusive egg, and Ben happen to notice me. Yeah, Ben! He found the golden egg, with the $2 tucked inside, which he shared with big brother.

The joy of scrapbooking...
Okay, so here's why the title of my blog is "Joy of Scrapbooking." I love my family, they bring me joy. I love scrapbooking, it brings me joy. I scrapbook my family photos because I have joy. Does that make sense to you? It does to my AROC mind. (anal retentive, obsessive compulsive--an acronym that my Sunday school teacher came up with to describe himself, and I must confess, it describes me as well. LOL. Just ask Steve...ROFL!) So here are a few of my most recent accomplishments...
the big March 1, 2009 snow.
Wait a minute!........
Spring is in bloom?! What is this?! It's snowing?! You've got to be kidding me! No more! Take it back! I've had enough!! Well, thank goodness that it was only "showers" and not some freak spring blizzard. (Please note the humming bird feeder...last year, our little guy came during the first week of April, so I was ready for him. But not the snow! LOL)(I saw a humming bird at our feeder two days after this snowfall.)
Spring is in bloom...
So, okay. Now that spring is here, I thought a change was in order--something bright and airy--spring-y. I not only changed the blog design/colors, but even added a picture of the daffodils from our yard. And here are some other flowers in bloom around our house. Nothing fancy, but they're just what I like.....
