Disney Memories....

Well, here they are, finally. I know that there are quite a few here. Please remember, there were seven fun, magical days of photos, and these are just the highlights.

Day 1. The first amusement ride--the airplane. Josh was so excited.
Ben was also excited, but a little scared too. He didn't want to sit by the window.
Upon arriving in Orlando, we boarded the Disney Magical Express.

Now the excitement really kicks in.

We stayed at the All-Star Movies resort. Our room was located in the Toy Story area.

After dinner, we went to Downtown Disney. The Lego store was amazing.

We also visited a very cool restaraunt, T-Rex, where Ben stuffed his own T-Rex at the Build-A-Bear, uh, Dinosaur workshop. Afterward, he gives his new friend a 'bath.' (Forced air and a brush, to clean off any extra fluff.)

Day 2. Animal Kingdom.

We were welcomed by Mickey himself. Along with Minnie and Pluto, of course.

We saw lots of African animals on the Kilimanjaro Safari, including this one.

We saw even more animals, like silver-backed gorillas on the Pangani Forest Expedition Trail.

No action shots for this ride, but it was fun. Ben and I got DRENCHED!

This ride was slightly scary. Ben clung to my arm.

I didn't realize Florida had mountains, snow covered mountains....hmmm.

Ah, the ride we were looking forward to, but never rode....Dinosaur! An impending storm forced a horde of people indoors all at once. And some (uh-huh) of us were a little cranky and wanted to leave. (Not me!)

Day 3. Breakfast at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort.

Magic Kingdom. The iconic Cinderella's Castle. Need I say more?

This was probably one of our most favorite rides, Splash Mountain.

Yes, you may get wet.

Big Thunder Mountain RR was a slight disappointment after Expedition Everest.

One of the many parades. We just happened upon this one. It's the Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade.

This was a relaxing ride. It takes about half an hour to go all the way around Tom Sawyer Island.

Another 'parade' that we happened upon. This one was the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party.

Day 4. Blizzard Beach. We really enjoyed playing here. This is called the Ski Patrol Training Camp. In the background you can see Summit Plummet, which Steve and Josh did. The video Steve took on the way down lasts only about 5 seconds.

Dinner in Epcot at Teppan Edo. Ben surprised us....he liked the 'foreign' food better than the usual fare.

Day 5. Independence Day. After a late night at Epcot, we slept in (a little), ate and then played at the Fantasia pool at the resort.

We had lunch at Hollywood and Vine in Hollywood Studios. Afterward, we started to walk toward our two favorite spots: Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular and the Star Tours ride.

Another parade we happened upon. I guess we caught all of them just by chance. I think this one was my (our) favorite. Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun! parade. I thought the Monsters, Inc. crew was terrific, esp. Sulley. He was really movin'!

This is what Josh and Ben were really looking forward to: Star Tours and the Jedi Training Camp. We found out (too late) that they book an entire days worth of Training excercises by 10 am each day. So the boys didn't actually get to do the Training, but they remembered the moves, and practiced them later.

Day 6. Breakfast at 'Ohana in the Polynesian Resort. This place was great. Great atmosphere. Great food. Yummy skillet potatoes and tropical juice. Umm-umm good!

After breakfast, it was back to Magic Kingdom to do the things we ran out of time to do the first time.

The ride that I had been waiting 30+ years for: Mad Tea Party, or as I usually refer to it as, the Tea Cup ride.

Ben and I really enjoy the 'round and 'round rides. Josh and Daddy, not so much.

When we finished up at MK, we headed back to Epcot via the monorail.

Horray for Fast Pass! Next in line for Mission Space. This is a simulated ride. Pretty cool.

Day 7. We went to Typhoon Lagoon. Compared to Blizzard Beach, it was a bit of a disappointment. But we were able to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours afforded to guests of any of Disney's Resorts, and got in an hour early, and was able to ride all the rides before the park got too crowded. As I said, we were slightly disappointed, and we didn't take any pictures. Steve did take some videos as he went down the slides.

For dinner, our anniversary, we went to Cinderella's Royal Table located inside the Castle. So that meant back to MK, again.

Though it was hot and 'we' got a little cranky from time to time, we enjoyed every moment spent at WDW. To be honest, a week after returning home, the boys and I were missing it, and wanting to go back. Just gotta talk Dad into it again!
